How Much Will Insurance Cover for Massage? Using Your Benefits | South Edmonton

Using your benefits is simple once you know the basics. Here is what to bring, why we keep a card on file, coverage amounts, two plans and denied claims.

What should I bring to use my insurance?

Bring your insurance card or plan details (insurer, plan/policy number, member ID, and the plan holder's name and date of birth if it's a spouse's plan). We'll also need a credit card or Visa Debit on file.

Why do you need a credit card on file?

Your card is kept on file only for any amount your insurance doesn't cover. It isn't charged until your insurer responds, and our staff will let you know the remaining amount first.

How much will my insurance cover?

Coverage depends on your plan, such as a per-visit maximum, a yearly limit, or a percentage. For example, a 60-minute massage may not be fully covered by some plans. Check your limits with your insurer before booking.

I have two insurance plans. Can you bill both?

Often yes, but some primary insurers don't allow us to bill the secondary plan, and extra documents may be needed. In that case you can submit the remaining balance to your secondary insurer yourself.

My claim was denied. Can you call my insurer for me?

Insurers will only discuss a claim with the plan member, so you'll need to contact your insurer directly. We're happy to provide receipts or any details you need.
